Meet the family for March 20, 2011

Anna Ward
is 341 years old today, born in 1670.  Anna is the boys' 9th great-grandaunt, born in Middletown, CT to William Ward and Phoebe Fenner, the boys' 10th great-grandparents.  Phoebe Ward, Ann's older sister is Phoebe Ward who married Samuel Hall in 1683 and begot their first child of 6, Experience Hall in 1683.  Either my dates are wrong or Experience Hall was born before Samuel and Phoebe married. I do have a record that shows Experience born in 1783, an obvious misprint and another in 1684.  That is probably correct.

Samuel Burr
died 220 years ago today in 1791 in Fairfield, CT at age 62.  Samuel is the boys' 7th great-granduncle born to Capt. Seth Samuel Burr and Elizabeth Wakeman.  Samuel's sister, Ellen Burr married Abel Gold and are the boys' 7th great-grandparents.  They begot 11 children, the 3rd one being Talcott Gold in 1759.

Mary Jane Farmer
died 87 years ago today in 1924 at age 68.  Mary Jane is Ella's 1st cousin 6 times removed.  Her father is the kids' 5th great-granduncle, Reubin Farmer.  Reubin's older sister is Malinda Farmer who married Lewis Kelly in 1840 in TN.  They begot 4 children, the last of which was Lucy Ann Kelly, born Dec 15, 1856 (interestingly, Darlene Myer was born Dec 16, 1956).  Lucy Ann married Wilkes C. McMurrey in 1870 and begot Ida Jan McMurrey in 1881.  Ida Jane married William Mitchell Mayne Dec 31, 1899 in Cherokee co. AL and begot 8 children.  The 3rd one was Donie Mae Mayne, born Jan 22 1909.  Donie Mae married Oscar T. Brown.

Orvil W. Myer
is 97 years old today, born in 1914.  Orvil is the kids' 1st cousin 3 times removed.  His father is John Henry Myer, the brother of 2nd great-grandfather, Dedrich Homer Myer.

Gary Burt is 69 years old today, born in 1942.  Gary is the husband of the kids' great-grandaunt, Phyllis Joan "Joan" Myer.  They have 3 children, Robin Burt, Stacey Mechelle Burt and Misty Leigh Burt, all 1st cousins twice removed.  Joan is the sister of the kids' great-grandfather, Roland Max Myer.
