Meet the family for February 10, 2011

Allmeta Brown
is 139 years old today, born in 1872  Allmeta was born to Martin Van Buren Brown and Helen M. Cecil in Montrose, MO.  She is the boys' 1st cousin 4 times removed.  Martin is the son of Resin D. Brown and Rachel Earnest and is the brother of Charlotte Brown, Lotti B. Ray's mother.

COTTON/WOODEN/BRIDGFORTH-DAY
Hannah Cotton
is 308 years old today, born in 1703  Hannah is the boy's 1/2, 7th great-grandaunt and the daughter of Samuel Cotton and his first wife Lydia Bates, married in July of 1695.  Lydia Bates died in September of 1713 and Samuel married Experience Hall in Feb of 1716 and begot our line person, William Cotton in 1720.

died 178 years ago today in 1833 at age 46.  Maria is the boys' 3rd cousin 7 times removed.  Her father is Thomas Gold, their 2nd cousin 8 times removed.  His father is Rev., Hezekiah Gold, 1st cousin 9 times removed.  Hezekiah's father is Hezekiah Gold, Sr., the brother of the boys' 8th great-grandfather, Samuel Gold.

died 11 years ago today in 2000 at age 98 in Moran, IN  Conie was born June 23, 1901 in IL and died at age 98 in Morgan, IN. Conie is the boys' 1st cousin 3 times removed. Her parents are Myrtle Anderson and the boys' 2nd great-granduncle, Harry Wooden.  There are 9 Wooden's in this family, Conie (1901-2000), Lora A. (1903- ?), Althea Amanda (1903-1971), Lola E. (1906-?), Melvin N. (1908-1996), Montie Elberta (1909-1999), Bert L. (1912-1982), Eunice O. (1916-1939) and Nathan H. Wooden (1923-2006) All of these people are the boys' 1st cousins 3 times removed. Harry's parents are Andrew J. Wooden and Amanda Johnson, the boys' 3rd great-grandparents.  Harry was the youngest of six in this family of Woodens.  Joseph R. Wooden, our line (1860-1931), Jeremiah Wooden (1862-?), Elba Wooden (1863-1927), Minnie Hodges Wooden (1866-?), Lola Wooden (1873-?) and Harry Wooden (1879-1939).

is 42 years old today born in 1969.  Jamie is Tara and Calum's 1st cousin once removed.  Her parents are James Stowe and Evelyn Coradean Naugher, Tara and Calum's grandaunt and sister of Moses S. Naugher.  Evelyn was the 8th born of the 9 born to Maxie Ruth Smith and Tara and Calum's great-grandfather, Horace Savage Naugher.

Thomas Nell Crow
died 43 years ago today in 1868 at the age of 85 in Hollis Oklahoma.  Thomas is the kids' 1st cousin 5 times removed.  His father is Isaac Allen Crow, Jr. the brother of John Christopher Crow, the kids' 4th great-grandfather.  John married Mary Jane Cothern May 2, 1872 and they begot Ella Mariah Crow in 1876.

Arthur Herman Meyer and Nellie Belle Morrison's
83rd anniversary is today, married in 1928 in Abbeville, South Carolina when he was 30 and she was 21 years old.  Arthur is the kids' 2nd cousin 3 times removed.  His father is Dedrick Hammond Meyer whose father is John Hammond Meyer the brother of 3rd great-grandfather, Dedrich Henry Meyer.

Irena Yancey
died 120 years ago today in 1891 at age 66.  Irena is the wife of the kids' 1st cousin 7 times removed, Benjamin Harrison Barnett whose father, Benjamin Johnson Barnett is the brother of David Barnett, the kids' 6th great-grandfather.  David married Sarah Phillips in Oglethorpe, Georgia April 7, 1791 and begot 9 children of their own with Abel M. Barnett being the 8th born and the kids' 5th great-grandfather.  Abel married Rachel Meadows, January 11, 1832 in Oglethorpe Georgia and they begot David A Barnett, their first born of 9, in 1833.  David A. Barnett married Jane C. Fleeman in Oglethorpe, on December 8, 1857 and begot their first born or 7, Lucy Emline Barnett in 1858.  Lucy married Dedrich Henry Meyer around 1875.
