Meet the family for November 6th

Walter William Wooden
is 46 years old today, born in 1964.  Walt is Steve's uncle, Bryan and Andrew's 1st cousin once removed and my youngest brother. He was named after our grandfather, Walter William Wooden, Sr. That technically makes him the III.  He was born in Atlanta, GA and is a Auburn graduate in visual design. Walt is a strong church supporter and an Elder in his church.  He does wonderful work with young members and not to mention that Walt is an incredibly talented designer and has his own graphic design firm where he does a high concentration of Christian design (books, Bibles, etc) as well as layout and design for magazines and websites.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY WALT, HAVE A GREAT ONE!  WE ALL LOVE YOU.

Henry C. Savage
died 129 years ago today in 1881. Henry is Tara and Calum's 2nd great-granduncle, the brother of Sallie E. Savage of the Frances and Frances family.

Sarah Walker died 317 years ago today in 1693 at age 31 in Barnstable, Massachusetts.  Sarah is the boys' 9th great-grandaunt as well as their 3rd cousin 11 times removed.  She is the sister of Jabez Walker who married Elizabeth Fuller in 1699 and begot Jeremiah Walker, the boys' 8th great-grandfather, in 1702.

Thankful Stowe
is 364 years old today, born in 1646.  Usually when someone is named Thankful, it is because the have died at birth.  This one lived until she was 65 years old, all in Middletown Connecticut.  She is the boys' 9th great-grandaunt and the sister of Mary Marie Stowe who married the Rev. John Cotton in 1666.  Their children had a Deliverance Cotton and a Thankful Cotton, twins who died around birth.  Keep in mind these families lived in the middle of the sixteen hundreds and were probably Puritans or had strong Puritan influences.  Mary and Thankful's parents, Thomas Stowe and Mary Griggs named their first born son John Stowe, but he died at birth so the next born was a boy so they named him John also.  John Stowe is Thomas' father, so I guess they needed to name the first living son after him.
