They were both born in Virgina, he in Pleasant Hill Plantation and she in Amelia. They begot Edward Garland Bagley in 1884 who married Ethel Clare Hethorn, Bryan and Andrew's great-grandmother. Edward and Ethel begot Sudie Seay Bagley in 1912 who married Edward McPhail Bridgforth June 16th, 1931.

Phoebe, born in 1633 married William Ward and begot Phoebe Ward in 1663, their second born. Phoebe married Samuel Hall and they are the parents of the boys' 8th great-grandmother, Experience Hall.
