Meet the family for June 8th

COTTON/WOODEN - FAMILY LINE

BANKS/GOLD/COTTON/WOODEN/BRIDGFORTH-DAY
Bradley Banks
died 202 years ago today in 1808 at age 30. Bradley is the first husband of the boys' 5th great-grandmother, Sally Gold.  The following is Bradley's obituary.
Here at Masonville, or near it, young Bradley was drowned in the Sausquehanna 8 June, 1808, leaving a young widow and two infants, David Bradley and Talcott, named for the two grandfathers, or rather for the mother's father and the father's grandfather; for Olive, the mother of Bradley Banks, was the daughter of David Bradley."

Sally's father is Talcott Gold and Bradley's parents are Thaddeus Banks and Olive Bradley.  Fortunately for us Sally later married Ira Cotton and begot Samuel Cheney Cotton the boys' 4th great-grandfather.  Strange how life is.  For the fact that our great-grandmother's husband died at age 30 we would not be the people we are.  The butterfly effect. or is it affect?
