Meet the family for February 26th


Kay Marlene Wooden
(aka Huddleston, Lockerby, Ferguson) turns 59 today, born in 1951.  Kay is my 2nd cousin.  She is my equivalent in the family from our grandfathers.  Let me explain.  My Grandfather is Walter William Wooden, Sr..born in 1887.  He had a brother named  Leroy Oliver Wooden born in 1901.  Leroy has a son named Kenneth Wendell Wooden, born in 1923, my father, Jerry Joseph Wooden, Sr. was born in 1927.  Kenneth begot Kay Marlene Wooden in 1951 and Jerry Sr. begot me in 1952.  Kay has two children, Loey Rana Lockerby, born 1971 and David Joseph Lockerby, born in 1976.  David is my 2nd cousin once removed.  He is married to Angela McClain and they have a son named Riley Charles Lockerby, born in 2005 who is my 2nd cousin twice removed.  You know your relationship to me so please do the math on your own relationships, thanks.  All of us Wooden's on the East coast wish you a Happy Birthday Kay!


Ebenezer Burr and Amelia Silliman's 251th anniversary is today. 
They were married in 1759. He was 26 and she was 22. Ebenezer is the boys' 7th great-granduncle.  Ebenezer's parents are the boys' 8th great-grandparents, Capt. Seth Samuel Burr and Elizabeth Wakeman.  Ellen Burr is his sister and the boy's 7th great-grandmother.  Ellen married Abel Gold and begot Talcott Gold.

Nathaniel Burr
died 298 years ago today in 1712.  He was 72 years old. Nate as we used to call him, is the boys' 9th great-granduncle.  He is the bother of Daniel Burr who is the father of Capt. Seth Samuel Burr mentioned above.

Lorenzo Dow Cleveland
died 128 years ago today in 1882 at age 64 in Southport, Chemung, New York.  Lou is the boys' 1st cousin 6 times removed.  His mother is Nancy Ann Cotton the boys' 5th great-grandaunt, sister of Ira Cotton who married Sally Gold and are the boys' 5th great-grandparents.  Sally is the daughter of Talcott Gold.
